NaNoWriMo, March Madness edition!

I have officially decided that since my NaNoWriMo coming up IN TWO DAYS isn't the actual Nano, since it's not in November, it needs a name. Something to set it apart from the normal, November Nano.

Enter March Madness. I think the term actually refers to something basketball related. Whatever. It's a sweet name and I just stole it for my NaNo noveling foray.

I'm totally psyched for this. Like, I want Sunday to come SO BADLY right now. Also, I'm planning on going to the National Zoo/a museum (depending on the weather) with Heather (best friend) and my family on Sunday. Yet another thing to look forward to.

Ah, the creative high. Nothing else like it. Possibly because I don't do drugs, but whatever. I'll take this any day of the week. Or year for that matter.

Oh, and I'm also disrupting the flow of my friends' lives with my absurd personal ambitions! Just like every aspiring novelist/world dictator should. ^_^
  • My mother has committed to NaNo with me, not entirely sure if she'll follow through for real though. I'm gonna try and make a bet with her for her inspiration/pocket money for me if she phails.
  • I got my friend Ryan to agree today. I finished reading the pre-Nano section of No Plot and loaned it to him for the weekend. We talked about his story idea today and I have really high hopes for his finishing. It'd be really cool to do this with him.
  • I also just convinced my online friend Zekey (the Zebra) to join me. I am now disrupting the lives of people in Florida too. YAY ME! (World domination gets closer with every step).
  • I'm putting off all my non-mandatory obligations aside. This will mean neglecting my family, non-writing friends, personal higene, possibly sleep, and my other artistic pursuits.
  • I've also recruited about a half dozen people to smack me if I don't write every day. I'm so lucky to have people who love me enough to cause me physical harm to help me pursue my dreams.
That's all for now! I'm going to try and limit my forays online to updating this blog. Aren't you, invisible/nonexistent reader, special?

Write on til next time,
Kia
